This conference has been one of, if not the best, weeks of my life. Getting the opportunity to meet with teenagers who share my interests was totally amazing. Back in Missouri, you’re lucky to find one or even two kids your age who share common interests. Asking Hoda, Chuck Todd, and Jessica Yellin questions relating to media was the most amazing thing about this conference. I would have paid the full conference amount for JUST that day. I really hope to come back next year as an intern. I love this area and the hospitality that comes with it. Any aspiring journalists who may be reading this needs to apply for this one of a kind, once in a lifetime opportunity.

Journalism. What is journalism? According to dictionary.com, journalism is defined as the occupation of reporting, writing, editing, photographing, or broadcasting news or of conducting any news organization as a business. According to myself, journalism is an obsession; an obsession to communicate information with everyday normal citizens who need to know what is going on within their community, country, world, and most importantly, how it affects them as an individual. Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be part of this exciting, ever-changing field.
After my high school career, I WILL obtain my broadcasting degree (go, Mizzou!) minoring in polisci, criminal justice, or espanol! I WILL NEVER give up and WILL make my wildest dreams come to life. All with God’s help, of course.
